Do I need phone service for the alarm system to work? Typically yes, however you do not need phone service if properly planned and designed for. Our systems can communicate on many other platforms. There is no need for a phone line, however if you do have phone service we will also connect the alarm to your phone as well. Some options include Cellular, Radio, GSM, and IP communicators. Of these choices are very economical. The most secure means of communicating are anything that communicates to the monitoring center wirelessly. Cellular, Radio, and GSM provide wireless communications to the monitoring center. No one can cut your phone line or cable line and prevent the alarm system from communicating to us if one of these alternative communicators are used.
